On the Third Day
1.
Woman’s screams, her wails echo,
baby’s destiny, starts NOW!
Alien force, ripping her apart,
a new galaxy wants out–
but inside, a radiant force,
a cosmic connection, Soothes her,
reminds her, breathe, focus,
no fears, creation begins.
Pain, relentless, cruel–is back,
grab something, husband’s sweaty hand,
“I don’t want this baby!” she screams;
knees drawn tight, a final push.
It works, pain subsides, sweet
smell of baby, a swift snip,
baby is free, it cries,
a sacred symphony, new life.
Baby whisked, a final surge,
a crimson stain, her baby’s cry,
mom’s blaze, a love so pure,
pleading now, her arms stretch out–
“Come Back to Me!”
Baby nestles, skin-to-skin,
eyes meet, hearts merge
eternally.
2.
A frothy foam, wave after wave it rolls,
across the rocky shore, a cosmic kiss,
a bubbling broth, a strange and mystic gift,
a murky elixir of muddy slim
soaking in Sol’s radiant, golden light.
By celestial decree, its destiny clear,
evolve day by day, year after year,
and vowing never, ever to return.
A curious God, it keeps poking, prodding,
adding this and that, a new angle each time.
Failing time and time, a celestial howl,
a thundering, cosmic wail and—
until the goo changes. A cosmic spark
spawns new creations, driving, evolving,
never settling to wander, alone.
His quest began, a mystery unknown,
Now unfolds slowly, an epic journey
from space to oceans, to plants, and to trees;
familiar shapes start to form, a cosmic
heartbeat shakes the fabric of existence,
A curious, adventurous, bold God
creates more and more, a divine whisper,
a cosmic syren, echoing through time
“Come back to me”
